Exciting News: Backpack Healthcare Selected for Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First Cohort
We’re thrilled to announce that Backpack Healthcare has been chosen to participate in this year’s Google for Startups Accelerator: AI-First program. This initiative is designed to empower startups leveraging AI to tackle some of society’s most pressing challenges, and we’re honored to be among this esteemed cohort.
At Backpack Healthcare, we’re committed to harnessing the power of AI to redefine pediatric mental health care. Being part of the Google for Startups Accelerator: AI-First program is a tremendous opportunity for us to scale our efforts rapidly while building responsibly. The program, run in partnership with Google Cloud, offers 10 weeks of hands-on mentorship and technical support, equipping startups like ours with the tools and resources needed to thrive.
Accelerating Growth with Google
Selected startups will have the chance to collaborate with a cohort of top peer founders and engage with leaders across Google. The curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including tech and infrastructure, UX and product, growth, sales, leadership, and OKRs, providing invaluable insights and guidance to fuel our growth.

Transforming Our Vision into Reality
For us at Backpack Healthcare, this program couldn’t come at a better time. As we continue to expand our reach and impact in Maryland and Virginia, with plans to further extend our services to additional states, being part of the Google for Startups Accelerator: AI-First program will undoubtedly propel us closer to our mission of providing accessible and inclusive mental health support for young individuals.

The program kicked off at Google Cloud Next ’24, held April 9-11, 2024, and will culminate with a high-profile Demo Day in June, where we have the opportunity to showcase our progress to cohort-mates, Google senior leaders, members of Google’s investor mentor network, and other teams around Alphabet. After graduation, we’ll join the dynamic GFS Accelerator community, where ongoing support and the chance to build lasting connections await.
