Throughout my career as a school social worker specializing in special education, I’ve had the privilege of helping students navigate emotional, behavioral, and social challenges while building the skills they need to thrive.
I earned my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Tuskegee University and my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Wayne State University. My approach is rooted in culturally responsive care and trauma-informed practices, recognizing that every child brings unique experiences, strengths, and needs.
I believe in a child-centered, strengths-based approach that meets children where they are. My focus is on creating a safe, supportive environment where children feel seen, heard, and understood. Through individualized support, I help children identify and express their emotions, develop healthy coping strategies, strengthen emotional regulation, and build practical skills that promote success in their everyday lives.
My goal is simple: to empower children with the confidence, tools, and skills they need to thrive—not just in school, but at home and in the world around them.
