About Sarah
Hello! I’m Sarah Andoh-Kesson, a psychotherapist with experience supporting children, adolescents, and young adults (0-21) across a range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs. I’ve worked extensively with youth and families in the foster care system, and have helped individuals navigate challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, behavioral concerns, and life transitions. This background has shaped my ability to meet clients with patience and a deep respect for each person’s unique story. My approach is trauma-informed and collaborative. I work closely with both clients and caregivers to build emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, and create a sense of stability and support both in and outside of sessions. I strive to create a safe space where young people feel heard and understood, and where families feel supported in navigating challenges together.
Philosophy of Care
What I love most is supporting children and families in creating positive, lasting change. I’m passionate about helping youth work through challenges early, building emotional resilience, and supporting families in developing healthier patterns and stronger connections over time
Happiness is…
Happiness is feeling safe, understood, being surrounded by the warmth and laughs of my family and friends, and cuddles from my dog. Oh yes…and good food!
Fun Fact
I’m a multi-passionate person who’s always working on a new idea or project.
At Home
I am a big book lover and love to read any chance I get. I also enjoy going for walks/hikes in nature, going to the gym, and exploring new/independent bookstores and cafes. When my weekends consist of some shopping, getting outside, reading a good book, and spending time in a bookstore/cafe I’m a very happy camper!
